A Guide To Setting and Starting Goals for the Last Quarter of the Year

As hard as it is to believe, we’re in the last quarter of 2021. That means it’s a great time to check-in and reflect on any resolutions or goals you have set for yourself for this year and to possibly set some new goals to end 2021 strong.

What is goal setting, and why is it important?

Identifying a specific objective, skill, or project you want to achieve is the first step in setting a new goal. Your next step in achieving it is to develop a plan and work on it diligently.

Goal-setting keeps you motivated, increases your happiness, and improves your self-esteem. Setting goals helps you envision what your life could be like in the future. Then you start pushing yourself to achieve the best results possible.

How to set achievable quarterly goals

1.   Start with the “Big Picture”

You can’t dive in and create quarterly goals without approaching them as part of the bigger picture.

To ensure that your goals for each quarter are practical, achievable, and in line with your overall company goals, you must start by planning for the entire year. It doesn’t matter if your goal is to increase your sales, eat healthier, work out more, or consume less sugar, the best way to look at the big picture is to stop going about the “all-or-nothing” approach.

It doesn’t matter how you get to your goals so much as that you get there, so long as you do.

2.   Set short-term goals en route to long-term goals

Don’t set such a big goal for this quarter that you’ll feel overwhelmed. Establish small, incremental goals along the way to your ultimate goal.

You will be able to build momentum and stay motivated if you set goals that allow you to see progress each week.

3.   Make room for flexibility

The best plans and strategies always leave room for change. We’re not robots, and even though many things can be predicted, change can and will happen, and it may cause your goals or roadmap to change, too. Also, a goal that initially sounded good might turn out to be a nonstarter. For these reasons, flexibility is important if you want your quarterly goals to remain achievable.

4.   Foresee obstacles and stay motivated

Obstacles will always arise, but planning for them is the key to overcoming them. Typical obstacles include scheduling conflicts, getting through events or parties without compromising your diet, complacency, injuries, and major life changes.

A balanced wellness routine isn’t all or nothing. Despite straying from your routine for a day or two, it’s OK to jump right back in without being hard on yourself.

5.   Incorporate Adaptogen Elixir into your routine

Let’s face it, you can’t even think about working on your goals if you’re stressed. Luckily, Isagenix has come up with a solution!

I spent 3 days with Janet guiding me through her processes.  I felt safe, supported, and every question I had was welcomed.  It's been a little over 6 weeks since we've worked together, and I've never felt this clear, open, and secure.

I’m so grateful for you!  Thank you so much, Earth Angel!  You are a wonderful observer.... reminding me to observe, too, You were present to our family in, really, the most intimate of ways. I felt no shame or humility to feel your kindness.  To be in such distress, and so vulnerable....

She has given us the tools and support to heal ourselves from extensive trauma from this life and generationally. Through her work with our family she has reset us through QNRT, which is a process that involves no required talking or retraumatizing and instead uses muscle testing to inform about the body’s neurological state and what needs attention and healing.
